Upgrades
System upgrades allow you the opportunity to enhance your PeopleSoft
applications with new release features and functionality. Our off-site upgrade
and customization services offer increased quality, yet reduced costs and
contention for your company’s computing resources. This method allows the
project work to be performed in an uninterrupted environment, producing the
results more accurately and expediently, thus letting the client focus their
resources and time on current production issues or new application
modifications.
Peak Performance Technologies employs several consultants who previously worked
in the PeopleSoft Upgrade Lab and have on average 35 upgrades between them. We
have worked with our clients to create an upgrade methodology that allows them
to leverage our expertise using a predominantly remote consulting model with
targeted onsite visits at predefined intervals. We have created a model that
helps our clients use our consultants on a 40-60% basis with most of that work
being done remotely. This approach significantly lowers the costs associated
with application and tools upgrade and helps our clients manage their dwindling
budgets in today’s challenging economic conditions.
Initial Upgrade Assessment
This 1-3 day Upgrade Assessment is performed using Web Ex Technology to
eliminate the need to be onsite. We "dial into" your network to walk you through
a series of activities to identify the exact scope and complexity of the
upcoming upgrade. We provide your team with a roadmap of what the upgrade will
(or should) look like along with a detailed approach and timeline with a
corresponding work plan. We provide access to our functional and technical team
members to walk you through new technologies including functional considerations
that need to be evaluated as part of this move to a more recent version. This is
a great way to gather your business users, IT staff and management together for
a facilitated process to learn about 9.0 and how it impacts your organization.
